Henry County Woman Raped Twice by Same Attacker
Henry County Police are searching for a man they say raped a 66-year-old woman not once, but twice–months apart.
According to investigators, a man broke into the victim’s home on Panola Road in Ellenwood on July 13, around 10:30 in the morning. They say he proceeded to rape her and then fled. Month later, police say the same man returned to the victim’s house on October 21, knocking on her door and saying that he needed help to find is lost dog. When the woman opened the door, police say the suspect forced his way in and raped her again.
“In my seventeen years of law enforcement, I’ve never seen anything like that in our county,” said Henry County Police Sergeant Danny Gibbs, who went on to say repeat attacks like this are extremely rare.
Investigators believe the attacker likely watched the woman and learned her patters. According to police, the suspect is a young black male, between 6’1” and 6’2”. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a black hat with yellow text during the first attack. He also had on a t-shirt, black hoodie and red pants.
