Both chambers are in at 10 a.m., with the House having its pick among 11 bills on the floor including House Bill 268, an elections bill that has raised the ire of voter advocacy groups, who say it could disproportionately hurt minority Georgians trying to join the state’s voter rolls.
The Senate will consider five including SB 108, which would allow the state Veterans Service Department to pursue the long-sought creation of a women’s veterans program.
Among committee action, the reworked casino bill — er, the bill for “Destination Resorts” — is expected to get its latest unveiling today at 1 p.m. in Room 310 CLOB before the Senate Regulated Industries and Utilities Committee.
And HB 202 increasing the governor’s salary is before the Appropriations General Government subcommittee at 1 p.m in Room 341 of the Capitol.
