Police Search for Suspect after MARTA Officer Wounded in Shooting
MARTA police are searching for two people after a shooting that sent one of their officers to the hospital Thursday evening.
It started at the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station around 6 p.m. MARTA officials said officers interrupted a robbery in the parking lot. The two alleged robbers fled down the street. MARTA officials said one of the suspects then fired a shot. One of the officers was grazed by the bullet.
The injured MARTA officer was treated at an Atlanta hospital and then released.
Investigators questioned one person at the scene, but determined he was not involved in the shooting.
