Your tip sheet: Senate to vote on upskirting ban; House on online sales tax

The House and Senate will be back in session at 10 a.m. today. There are eight bills up for a vote in either chamber. The Senate will consider whether to ban “upskirting” — surreptitiously videotaping of a person’s private parts in a public place — and also consider a bill reducing liability for anyone in Georgia who wants to host a space port. The House will vote on the state’s latest plan to get Georgians who buy goods online to pay sales taxes.
The meeting of the day is the 2 p.m. House Ways and Means subcommittee that has the bill to regulate fantasy sports, the bill to revive the Delta fuel tax break, a doubling of the World Congress Center’s bonding capacity, job tax credits, and a reworking of how used cars are valued for tax purposes. The meeting is in room 133 of the state Capitol.
A special subcommittee of Transportation will meet at 3 p.m. to consider House Bill 248, the self-driving vehicle bill. This meeting will be in room 515 of the Legislative Office Building.
