Breezy and cooler after the morning storms

Areas of heavy rain and lightning passed through north Georgia and metro Atlanta, making for a challenging morning commute.

Rainfall averaged 1/2″ or more in many locations, including some 1″+ totals south of I-20. For the afternoon, we can expect clearing skies, breezy northwest winds, and seasonably cool temperatures.
